Sheffield Register Office and Town Hall Wedding Photography
I’m a wedding photographer based in Sheffield, and I provide wedding photography services throughout South Yorkshire.
I’ve shot a few different weddings at Sheffield Registry Office, and it’s a great place to choose to formalise your wedding, whether it’s small or large.
Sheffield Town Hall is a grade I listed building; making it both a magnificent and historic wedding venue. With its grand architecture and elegant interiors, it’s no wonder that Sheffield Town Hall is one of the most popular wedding venues in the city.

Sheffield Registry Office Wedding Photo Tips
The Town Hall makes a great wedding vene in Sheffield because it is surrounded by ideal locations for your wedding photos. Here are a few of my ideas for how the venue can be used on your wedding day.
Wedding Portrait Photograph Ideas
Being right in the centre of the city of Sheffield, the Town Hall is surrounded by an eclectic mix of excellent locations for your wedding portraits. Here are a few places I have taken wedding photos at before:
- In front of The Goodwin Fountain in the Peace Gardens
- In front of the lush borders, cherry trees and cascades of The Peace Gardens
- On the streets outside the modern buildings of St Paul’s Place
- Inside the Winter Gardens surrounded by all year round greenery
- At Castlegate Grey to Green Park surrounded by wildflowers
- In Love Square next to Sheffield Crown Court
- Surrounded by Street Art in the cultural industries quartre on Sidney Street and Brown Street

Family Group Photograph Ideas
Group photos generally need space and some shelter. They are best taken out of direct sunlight and with a fairly simple backdrop. For a wedding at Sheffield Town Hall I would recommend taking photos either in The Peace Gardens, or if the weather is bad, inside the Winter Gardens.
Confetti Photograph Ideas
Sheffield Registry Office allows your guests to throw confetti outside of the Town Hall. Depending on the size of your wedding, this can be organised on the steps on Pinstone Street, or the exit on to Cheney Row.

Why Choose Me to Photograph Your Wedding at Sheffield Town Hall?
I’ve been photographing weddings since 2014, so I have a lot of experience – especially with the Great British weather! I photograph weddings all year round, and I am very used to taking beautiful, relaxed, informal photos that capture moments in the bright sunshine and the greyest rainy day.
I like to work with my couples to capture their wedding day as it unfolds, snapping all the magical moments as they happen. I’m very used to working with couples that don’t enjoy having their photo taken (I don’t like having my photo taken either!).
When you book me as your wedding photographer we will chat a couple of times leading up to your wedding, so that I can answer any questions you might have and capture all the information that I need to be in the right place at the right time. I want to understand what you want from your wedding photos, and the vibe you want for your wedding day, as well as you do.
Who I work with
I mainly work with couples who are planning their wedding on their own terms. They usually want an untraditional wedding, that focusses on them spending time with the people they love the most and eating good food!
I welcome working with couples from all backgrounds and strongly believe that all love is love.
Sheffield Town Hall Wedding Photography Packages
My wedding photography packages start at just 2 hours of coverage for £650. I generally find that 2 hours is enough time to photograph everyone arriving at the Town Hall, the ceremony, some confetti, then some family group photos and couple portraits (if you want them!).
If you would like additional coverage to capture you getting ready for your wedding, or have me join you at your reception venue, then additional hours are charged at £300 each.
I offer short coverage wedding photography with no restrictions throughout the year.
